Monetary donations

The Signature Group of Companies endeavours to donate approximately $100,000 each year to various charities and not-for-profit organisations. Generally the criteria for selecting these organisations is as follows, though there have been some exceptions to respond to unusual circumstances:

  1. They should be organisations that have low or preferably no overhead costs
  2. They should be operating close to north west Sydney where Signature is based (based on the old saying ‘charity begins at home’)
  3. Their work should touch the hearts of the donors

In the past Signature Group of Companies has donated to the following organisations.

  • The Sanctuary: which runs a shelter for women and children fleeing domestic violence.
  • MonStar Foundation: which assists people suffering from moto neurone disease and supports the Start Foundation for children.
  • Aboriginal Church of Riverstone: They spread the Christian faith amongst one of the most vulnerable sections of our society.
  • Blacktown Youth Services Association: They look after young people who have somewhat lost their way in life and try to mentor them and try to provide them life skills and livelihood skills. They provide relevant and meaningful services and programs to young people aged 12-24 in the Blacktown LGA.
  • NSW Police Legacy: They look after the welfare of the legatees (widows, widowers and children) of policemen and policewomen who have passed away.
  • Community Foundation of North Western Sydney: Provide support to children, youth and families. This support is generally not available through normal government supported programs. They also provide young people livelihood skills by training them to become Baristas, provide emergency accommodation to those who are on the verge of homelessness.
  • Lisa Harnum Foundation: runs a shelter for women and children fleeing domestic violence.
  • Blacktown Womens’ & Girls’ Health Centre: Provide a professional, affordable and holistic gender-informed service promoting health, wellbeing and empowerment for women, delivered in a caring, non-judgemental, respectful and safe environment.
  • Rufftrack Ltd: Supports young people aged between 12 and 17 years of age who have disengaged with school and the community and helps them develop life and work skills to plan their future pathways. Provide education and skill development to transform their lives.
  • Habitat for Humanity Australia: Part of Habitat for Humanity International which operates in over 70 countries. Provide vulnerable families access to safe shelter, water, sanitation and hygiene and livelihood training. supports low-income families and vulnerable groups in accessing safe shelter. This includes building or repairing shelters, disaster risk reduction and recovery. Provide shelter for women and children fleeing domestic violence. Run a social enterprise. At the inerternational level, besides other works, provides emergency accommodation to war victims in Ukraine.
  • Christ Mission Possible: Provide food solutions and housing solutions to those who are at risk of starvation, malnutrition, homelessness or on the verge of becoming homeless.
  • Hawkesbury Helping Hands: Support those experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. Providing love, care, kindness, food, toiletries, clothing, shoes, blankets, sleeping bags, tents, swags, pet supplies also advice on services available and if possible, support with accommodation.
  • Greta Rural Fire Brigade: Rural Fire Brigade located in the Central Coast of NSW run substantially by volunteers.
  • Fitkidz Foundation: Early intervention service which supports children with autism or other developmental disabilities alogn with their families and the local community.
  • Hindu Federation of Australia: Run a library comprising Hindu philosophy and cultural texts and books. Encourages exposure to the pluralistic Hindu philosophy.
