Signature Foundation was formerly called Habitat for Humanity (NSW Q). Following an internal reorganisation, in October 2022, Signature Foundation effectively became the charitable arm of the Signature Group of Companies to enable the continuity of the philanthropic activities under the umbrella of a registered charity with governance standards to comply with the requirements of ACNC.
Signature Group of Companies is a 20-year-old business headed by Atul Kumar undertaking property development, construction and architectural design mainly in north-west Sydney.
As a business, core to its values, it has undertaken philanthropic works in the following manner:
Donating monies (target $100,000 each year in the recent past) to various charities/ not for profit organisations preferably located close to north-west Sydney where they are based (based on the philosophy of charity begins at home) Providing pro-bono Architecture Design, Construction Management and Project Management services to various charities/ not for profit organisations Endeavouring to provide social/ affordable housing to the poor and disadvantaged. Undertaking ‘hands on’ charitable works Currently, the Signature Group of Companies is the biggest financial and human resource supporter of Signature Foundation. The continuity and presence of Atul Kumar as a Director in Habitat for Humanity (NSW Q) Limited and Signature Foundation has provided continuity, impetus and priority towards its commitment to provide housing for those who are suffering from poverty, homelessness and related issues.
