Background of
Signature Foundation Ltd

Signature Foundation was established as a charitable company limited by guarantee on 1 January 2005, with benevolent purposes. The benevolent purposes include but are not limited to providing housing to low-income families, vulnerable groups and providing emergency accommodation to women and children who are fleeing domestic violence and are therefore at risk of homelessness and poverty.

Following the establishment of the ACNC in December 2012, and the passing of the Charities Act 2013 (Cth), it became:

  • Registered as a charity with the ACNC, with the subtypes “Another purpose beneficial to the community” and “Public Benevolent Institution” (PBI), with effect from 3 December 2012, and
  • Registered with the subtypes “Advancing social or public welfare” and “Public Benevolent Institution” (PBI) with the ACNC, with effect from 1 January 2014, being the date of commencement of the Charities Act.

Signature Foundation Ltd has a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status which means donors can claim 100% tax deductions for gifts/donations to DGRs in their income tax returns in Australia.

People

Signature Foundation comprises of a diverse mix of experienced and talented professionals, encompassing all facets of the property development, construction and architectural design industry. Its three Directors have university qualifications/ industry experience in Architecture, Construction Management and Property Development.
